Basic Vinegar and Pepper-Style Barbecue Sauce

This is absolutely delectable on pork and chicken. It is added after the cooking has finished. Makes 4-1/2 cups or enough for around 10 pounds of meat.

3 cups cider vinegar
1 cup hot water
4 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp Hungarian paprika
2 tbsp ground black pepper or pepper medley
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cayenne or red pepper

Mix together sugar and water until dissolved. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. DO NOT COOK. Will keep in the fridge forever.
