Egg Sausage Casserole

I know we have a similar recipe in this category, but this is a family favorite that my Aunt Linda has been making for years. Very, very yummy!

1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pound lean sausage
2 cups mozzarella cheese (grated)
6 eggs
3/4 cups milk
salt and pepper

Line bottom of 9x13" greased pan with crescent dinner rolls - flat. Bake flattened rolls 5-8 minutes at 375 degrees. Brown sausage, drain off excess grease. Add grated cheese, slightly beaten eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour sausage-egg mixture over rolls. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, or cook on lower heat at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. This should set for 5-8 minutes before serving, as the cheese will be runny when hot.
